A Milestone Gathering for the Travel Trade Fraternity of Odisha

The 7th Momentum of EKTTA – Enterprising Knot of Travel & Tourism Associates marked another significant milestone in the association’s journey of strengthening the travel trade ecosystem in Odisha.

The event brought together travel professionals, industry stakeholders and government representatives under one platform, reflecting EKTTA’s continued commitment to professional collaboration, knowledge sharing and institutional growth within the tourism sector.

EKTTA Insight

Knowledge that Powers Travel Trade

A key highlight of the event was EKTTA Insight, a knowledge-driven workshop designed to empower travel professionals with valuable industry perspectives.

The session featured representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, International Air Transport Association, IndiGo, and InterGlobe Technology Quotient.Over nearly four hours of engaging discussions, members gained insights on:

• Tourism recognition procedures 
• IATA accreditation and aviation standards
• Global Distribution Systems (GDS) and travel technology
• Opportunities for strengthening air connectivity
• The role of travel trade in promoting inbound tourism and MICE movements

• Special session on MSME advantages 

The workshop reflected EKTTA’s effort to encourage professional capacity building and knowledge sharing within the travel trade fraternity.

EKTTA expresses its sincere appreciation to all organisations and institutions whose support and participation contributed to the success of EKTTA Insight.

The workshop was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and witnessed valuable participation from the Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, International Air Transport Association, InterGlobe Technology Quotient, IndiGo, and Odisha Assembly of Small and Medium Enterprises, who shared important perspectives on tourism recognition, aviation standards, travel technology and MSME opportunities for the travel trade fraternity.

EKTTA also extends its heartfelt thanks to Hotel Prachi, part of Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, for their generous hospitality and for hosting this memorable gathering of the travel trade community.

Leadership Transition and Democratic Process

The EKTTA AGM and Election were also conducted during the event, reflecting the association’s commitment to transparent governance and institutional continuity.

The newly elected Executive Committee took their oath of office, marking the beginning of a new leadership phase that will formally assume responsibilities on 'Odisha Diwas' 1st April, 2026.

The moment symbolised both continuity and renewal in EKTTA’s journey.

Networking Evening 

Following the intensive knowledge sessions, members gathered at the lawn for an evening of cultural performances, networking and gala dinner.
 

The vibrant cultural evening celebrated the spirit of fraternity, friendship and togetherness that defines the EKTTA community.

It was a wonderful opportunity for members, partners and guests to relax, interact and strengthen professional relationships in an informal setting.

Looking Ahead

EKTTA 7th Momentum was not merely an event but a reflection of the association’s evolving role as a knowledge-driven institutional platform for the travel trade fraternity of Odisha.

With continued collaboration among members, industry partners and government institutions, EKTTA remains committed to contributing towards a stronger and more vibrant tourism ecosystem in the state.
