Executive Committee Governance Charter

Purpose

The Executive Committee (EC) of EKTTA - Enterprising Knot of Travel & Tourism Associates is responsible for guiding the association’s vision, ensuring good governance, and strengthening the travel and tourism ecosystem of Odisha through collaboration, professional development and industry advocacy.

Leadership Structure

The Executive Committee consists of:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • General Secretary

  • Joint Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Executive Committee Members

 

The EC collectively works towards achieving the objectives of the association while maintaining transparency, professionalism and accountability.

Key Responsibilities of Office Bearers

President

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the association

  • Represent EKTTA before government bodies, industry stakeholders and partner organisations

  • Chair EC and General Body meetings

  • Guide policy matters and major initiatives of the association

  • Promote unity and coordination within the Executive Committee

Responsibilities of Executive Committee Members

Executive Committee Members play an important role in supporting the initiatives and activities of EKTTA.

Their responsibilities include:

  • Participating in EC meetings and decision-making processes

  • Supporting organisation of events, workshops and initiatives

  • Promoting membership engagement and growth

  • Representing the interests of the travel trade fraternity

  • Contributing ideas for the development of the association and industry

  • Heading & Chairing various sub-committees from time to time as & when required .   

EC Meetings & Decision Making

Key Points:

  • Frequency of meetings ( at least once in a month) 

  • Agenda preparation 

  • Minutes of Meeting (MOM)

  • Decision-making process

 

Summary:

The Executive Committee shall meet periodically to review the activities of the association and take decisions on key initiatives.

Committees & Portfolios

EC members may be assigned responsibilities in areas such as:

  • Membership Development

  • Events & Workshops

  • Government & Industry Relations

  • Media & Communications

  • Knowledge & Training Initiatives

  • Tourism Promotion

Financial Governance

  • Membership subscription

  • Financial accountability

  • Treasurer’s role

  • Reporting in AGM

Code of Conduct

  • Integrity and transparency

  • Respect for fellow members

  • Commitment to the association’s objectives

  • Avoidance of conflict of interest

Institutional Values

EKTTA grows stronger when every member contributes not only through designation, but through dedication and shared responsibility.

This handbook may be updated periodically as the association evolves.
