EKTTA was not formed overnight. Its journey began as a fellowship of like-minded travel professionals and gradually evolved into a structured and registered association through collective vision and sustained effort.
The individuals featured on this page represent the foundational pillars of EKTTA — those who were directly involved in its genesis and in shaping the transformation framework that led to its institutional formation. Their early collaboration, strategic discussions, and shared commitment laid the groundwork upon which EKTTA stands today.While subsequent leadership teams have strengthened and carried forward this vision through democratic governance, the foundation phase remains a defining chapter in EKTTA’s evolution.
The Genesis Phase
EKTTA’s journey began through the initiative of four travel professionals who envisioned greater unity within the fraternity. While the early gatherings fostered camaraderie and trust, the team’s efforts soon extended beyond social fellowship. Recognising the untapped potential of Odisha’s travel market, the Genesis Team actively engaged with national trade fair organisers and initiated industry connections beyond the state. Their outreach contributed to increased attention from several National and International Tourism Boards, helping position Odisha as an emerging and promising market.These early efforts laid not only the emotional foundation of unity but also the strategic groundwork that would eventually lead to EKTTA’s formal institutional formation.

The transformational Phase
As the vision of forming a structured association gained clarity, the inclusion of these 4 four senior professionals of the industry marked an important phase in EKTTA’s evolution, transforming an emerging idea into an organised institution. Together, this expanded team worked diligently to structure the society by drafting its Byelaws, defining membership frameworks, and establishing governance processes. Their collective efforts culminated in the formation of the first Executive Body and the successful organisation of the Inaugural Convention in 2019 — setting EKTTA firmly on the path of institutional growth.
